The Houston, Texas newspaper, The Chronicle has a new section on Sundays, devoted to health news.  On line it is Healthzone.

This should be a resource, for health news, for people living in the Houston area.

I found the new section as “section K” in my morning paper a couple  Sundays ago.

Here is a link to the introduction article, found on page  K2,  from the Managing Editor,  Steve Proctor.

I Like to give mention to a valued resource for the whole SE Texas region, that is the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.

I “believe in” the work they do and try to give at least four time a year. To find a neighborhood donation center or a one day blood drive location near you see the link for “find a location”

In the Houston Medical Center I want to give a shout-out to St. Luke’s Hospital Blood Center.

The two blood donation groups provide a very useful service to all of us in SE Texas. I hope the new news outlet in the Houston Chronicle will be an asset for all of us to draw on for health information.
