Diet vs Exercise June 2015

Diet and Exercise and or Diet vs Exercise, that is a question of what you want and/or need  to answer.

I read a good article in the NYTimes talking about this topic. The question is what is most important in order to loose some weight, that is diet or exercise? See the article “To Lose Weight, Eating Less Is Far More Important Than Exercising More” by Aaron E Carrol.

I think exercise is great and should be a part of your daily “life style” for it does a lot to promote overall health and wellness of your body and mind. I believe we all need to have a base line of exercise and at times we can dial up for more but that we try to maintain a base level of activity for our general well being and health.

This article and family wisdom have taught me that it is food intake that is the biggest part of weight loss.

SO you need to take in fewer calories than you burn in order to loose weight. The hard part is doing it and making it work in our lives. Exercise is important for it helps keep us active and keeps our activity level up so we are burning calories.
